It’s time for a Field Trip! The 3rd-6th
grade will be taking a guided tour inside the Brazilian National Congress and visit the city map. Students will visit both Senate and House of Representatives. After this they will visit the
National Museum and then the JK Memorial to learn more about
Juscelino Kubitschek, the president that built Brasilia. Students will have
lunch at McDonald’s.
[This field trip integrates the topics discussed in Social
Studies and there will be an assignment to follow this trip]
WHEN: Monday, May 28th, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. and
return to the school by 3 p.m.
NEEDS:
Students will need to wear their school uniform. Pants are mandatory to enter
Government buildings in Brazil. If the student does not have uniform pants they
must come in nice jean pants (no holes). Shoes are also mandatory. No sandals
or crocs allowed. They must bring a water bottle, money for lunch, and a
notebook and pencil for taking notes. (If a student brings a camera, it is
their responsibility to keep track of it)
COST: R$15 plus money for
lunch at McDonalds or a sack lunch
Please Note: If you choose to send your child with a sack lunch, they will be responsible for carrying it around to all of the places all day.

Your child received a permission slip this last Friday. Please fill it out and turn it in by Friday, May 25th.
News Cast Crew
Today was our last day of News Cast Crew Club. We had alot of fun at our party and then decided to make a "music" video of this week's Bible Verse. Enjoy!
